About EUnetCCC
The European Commission launched Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan in 2021, a milestone strategy with a €4 billion budget, aiming to reduce the cancer burden across the EU and support Member States in improving cancer control and care. Among its flagship initiatives, the Plan set an ambitious objective: to establish a European network of Comprehensive Cancer Centres (CCCs), with at least one CCC in every Member State by 2028.
This ambition of creating a European network of CCCs stemmed from a simple vision: that every person, in every region, should have access to excellence in cancer care, research, and innovation. This political ambition marked the birth of the EUnetCCC initiative, coordinated by the French National Cancer Institute (INCa).
Through a Joint Action co-funded by the EU4Health programme, EUnetCCC brings together 163 partners across 31 countries to lay the foundation for this future EU-wide network and ensure that 90% of eligible patients have access to high-quality cancer care by 2030.

About the EUnetCCC Annual Meeting
The EUnetCCC Annual Meeting is a yearly event organised under the Joint Action to present key developments, share progress made by the network, and foster strategic dialogue among all partners and stakeholders. Each edition will serve as a forum to assess achievements, identify challenges, and guide the next phase of the network’s implementation.
The 2025 edition – taking place on the 6th and 7th of November at the CNIT Forest, Paris-La Défense – will be the first Annual Meeting of the initiative. It marks a major milestone in the operational roll-out of EUnetCCC and the launch of the EU Network of Comprehensive Cancer Centres.
This inaugural meeting will bring together members of the network, European and national public authorities, researchers, patients, and health professionals to:
- Officially launch the EU CCC Network, clearly communicating its mission, vision, and objectives.
- Showcase the benefits of joining the network and engage stakeholders from CCCs, EU bodies, national health authorities, and partner initiatives.
- Present the opportunities offered by the network and the tools available to support CCCs.
- Address critical challenges and explore synergies with complementary initiatives to strengthen Europe’s cancer care and research ecosystem.
- Unveil the EUnetCCC White Paper and foster lasting political and institutional support for the network’s future.
This is not just a launch event, but the starting point of a recurring moment in the European cancer calendar—dedicated to advancing a shared agenda for high-quality cancer care, research, and education in Europe.
